A family came in five years ago and decided not to proceed. He has since passed, and I am handling the probate. It will earn this firm roughly forty thousand dollars. I would genuinely rather have written four plans for the same money and known that four families were protected. I do run a business. I would still rather do it the other way.

What I said in this clip, lightly edited for readability.
It is so obvious, but people fall for it. So I have another client for probate. They came to me also around five years ago and decided not to proceed. And guess what? The guy passed. Now I'm handling the probate. They're higher net worth people, and it will take us a while, and I will be making about $40,000.
But I would rather create plans here, four plans here, to make the same amount of money, because I do run a business, but protect you proactively, knowing that you guys won't have problems in the future, knowing that you have everything set up, and you really have peace of mind. And of course, a properly funded revocable living trust bypasses probate entirely.
