Someone Will Have Authority Over Your Child. You Decide Who.

September 24, 2026 Maria V. Primushko Parents Edition Workshop

At each point after an accident, in the first hours, the first weeks, the first months, and for the rest of their childhood, somebody will hold authority over your child. It will be either someone a judge picks, whoever raised a hand, or somebody you chose because you know they will take the best care of them. It is up to you which.

What I Said

From my September 10 Parents Edition workshop at the Cambria Hotel in Calabasas, lightly edited for readability.

So at each and every point, somebody will have authority over your child, and it is up to you who that person will be. Someone the judge picks out of the air, whoever raises their hand, or somebody that you know will take the best care of your child.
