Standard probate in Los Angeles or Ventura county runs twelve to eighteen months. That is the timeline when everybody loves each other, nobody contests anything, and there are no complications. It is the best case, not the average one. And the legal plan only works when it is built alongside the financial plan, not after it.

So we'll continue with the comparison of probate, what we're trying to avoid, and why. Well, it is a long process. It's not fast. The standard process here in Los Angeles or Ventura counties is 12 to 18 months, if everybody loves each other. No complications, no contests, no delays. Everybody behaves.
